Bulgaria Well and Church Project 2008
Bulgaria
Living Word has committed to provide $5,000 to pay for the materials
and labor to build a church in rural Bulgaria. This project will
cost $25,000 total and is a joint effort between Living Word and
four other area churches. This money will provide for a building
that is four times the size of the over-crowded one that is now
being used and will also pay for the drilling of a much needed fresh
water well. The coordinating missionary has not been named because
this is a sensitive area, keep it in your prayers.
Kells Café 2007
Steve & Deanne Turley
Belgium
Living Word has committed the first $10,000 to the vision of providing
an interactive arts coffee house to be established directly outside
the gates of the Free University in Brussels, Belgium. The Free
University is by charter, free from all encumbrances of religion.
It is also one of the most prestigious Universities in Belgium that
hosts the best and the brightest from all over Europe and places
beyond. The vision of the Kells Café, initiated by Missionaries
Steve and Deanne Turley, is to provide a “hang out”
where the students can engage in conversation about spirituality,
specifically Christian spirituality.
Ecuador Church Project 2007
Joil & Leah Marbut
Ecuador
Living Word has committed to provide $8,000 to pay for the materials
to build a church in the jungle of Ecuador. Not only have they committed
to fund the project, but they have also committed to build it! Twelve
people will fly to Ecuador on February 9, 2008 with the express
purpose of building the church. While there, they will also conduct
a one day medical clinic providing basic health screenings for the
entire village. This project is being coordinated by Missionaries
Joil and Leah Marbut.
